Features of two major control technologies for DC motor for spring operating mechanism

Sep 25, 2018

The DC motor for spring operating mechanism mainly has digital control and position sensorless BLDC control, both of which have their own characteristics. The digital control system of the DC motor for the spring operating mechanism is based on the microprocessor, which can realize the high complexity and high precision control unimaginable in the previous continuous control.

With the advent of microelectronics technology, microprocessors and computing speeds, as well as the development of computer software, the automatic control system has been over-represented, with digital processing as the core and high-speed digital processing as the core digital control system. Due to the small size and convenient implementation of the digital speed control system, not only general PID control, complex vector control, nonlinear robust control, fuzzy control and other methods can be realized.

The spring operating mechanism is controlled by the position sensor BLDC of the DC motor. Since the position is removed on the DC motor body, all the hardware is placed in the electronic switch circuit to reduce the size and cost of the DC motor.

Since the conduction and commutation time of each phase winding can no longer depend on the position sensor signal, a magnetic pole position detecting circuit is added in the control circuit, and it is generally difficult to accurately determine the rotor position signal when the motor is stopped or the rotational speed is low. Detected, therefore, the position sensor BLDC generally requires a special starting circuit, the other links are the same as the BLDC with position sensor.
