Main factors that affect the life of the load switch motor

Jun 14, 2018

The load switch motor is well protected in practical work. Under normal circumstances, the load switch maintains a normal and reliable working state. In the power distribution system of an industrial enterprise, infrequently making and breaking the circuit and the isolation circuit below 1000 A are only electrically isolated. The load switch has a housing made of glass-reinforced unsaturated polyester resin, and the spring-accumulating acceleration mechanism can quickly switch on and off.

It can provide effective protection for the load switch motor. In practical applications, the pressure of the hammer is ensured by the leaf spring, and the limit position of on-off is automatically determined, and the on-off mark is clearly indicated to indicate the on-off position. It should be noted that the service life of a motor is often affected by many factors. When detecting the performance of a motor, the service life is an important reference indicator.

Then, what are the main factors affecting the life of the load switch motor? In general, the main factors affecting its service life include: the life of bearings, magnet wires, magnets, and brushes are determined. Under the rated service conditions, the brushes with the shortest life are brushes, and the brushes are easily worn parts. The friction between the commutator and the brush has a certain time limit. After the brush wears out, it means the motor has run out of service.

If during the design, the temperature rise of the design of the load switch motor is too high, coupled with the ambient temperature if the insulation temperature limit is exceeded, the service life of the motor will be greatly reduced. At the same time, the quality of the bearings used in the motor will also greatly affect the life of the motor. If the bearing quality is poor and the service life is short, then the life of the motor will naturally be shortened, mainly due to the mechanical failure that will affect the life of the geared motor.

In addition, when making a load switch motor, it is also necessary to select a high-quality insulating material. If the quality of the insulating material used is poor, the limit of the motor temperature can be reduced, which will affect the life. At the same time, it has a certain relationship with the external voltage received during the work process. Of course, we must also consider the actual working environment conditions during the use of the load switch motor.
