Working principle and transmission mode of DC motor for K mechanism

The DC motor for K mechanism is very popular in the market. The stator winding of the motor is mostly made into a three-phase symmetrical star connection method, which is very similar to the three-phase asynchronous motor. A magnetized permanent magnet is attached to the rotor. In order to detect the polarity of the rotor of the motor, a position sensor is mounted in the motor.


The drive for the DC motor for K mechanism is composed of power electronics and integrated circuits. Its function is to accept the start, stop and brake signals of the motor to control the start, stop and brake of the motor; to accept the position sensor signal and the forward and reverse signals. It is used to control the on/off of each power tube of the inverter bridge to generate continuous torque; to accept the speed command and speed feedback signal for controlling and adjusting the speed; to provide protection and display, and so on.


The K mechanism uses the position sensor code of the DC motor to make the position of the combined two-phase winding of the energized magnetic field ahead of the rotor magnetic field axis position, so no matter where the starting position of the rotor is, the motor will generate a sufficient starting torque at the moment of starting. Therefore, no additional starting winding is required on the rotor.


When the K mechanism uses the DC motor as the motive power to drive the production machine, there are two transmission modes, one is the direct transmission, which has the advantages of high transmission efficiency, simple and reliable equipment, and an indirect transmission, which is characterized by DC. The speed of the motor is different from the speed of the production machine, and their direction of rotation can be the same or different.
